THE JACK AND DORIS SHADBOLT FOUNDATION FOR THE VISUAL ARTS

The Foundation supports an annual awards programme created and financed by Jack and Doris Shadbolt in 1988 as a “contribution to the advancement of the visual arts in British Columbia and their appreciation by the public,” and administers the Alvin Balkind Curator’s Prize.

Inquiries
The Shadbolt Foundation operates under the auspices of a Board of Trustees. It is a registered charity, issuing income tax related receipts for financial contributions. The Foundation welcomes enquiries, but does not accept applications for awards.

Announcement of Annual Awards
The Jack and Doris Shadbolt Foundation for the Visual Arts is pleased to announce the 2020 Award recipients (Lucie Chan, Cindy Mochizuki and Tania Willard) and the Foundation’s new collaboration with the Yosef Wosk Family Foundation to present the Max Wyman Award for Critical Writing (Dorothy Woodend and Paloma Pacheco).
